Scope and content

Sixteen transcripts of radio broadcasts from regional public radio stations in Germany transmitting from the cities of Hamburg and Bremen. The stations were operated by the regional broadcasting company Nordische Rundfunk AG (NORAG), later renamed Norddeutsche Rundfunk GmbH. These stations transmitted broadcasts to the Prussian provinces of Schleswig-Holstein and Hanover, as well as the Free State of Brunswick, the Free State of Oldenburg and western Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Eight transcripts of radio broadcasts from the nationwide radio broadcasting station in Germany, known as the Deutschlandsender. Many of the transcripts included appear to be of broadcasts from the station’s second transmitter in Zeesen.

Thirteen transcripts of radio broadcasts from black propaganda stations in the Concordia Offices in Berlin that were part of the English language section of the Reichs-Rundfunk-Gesellschaft (RRG) including the New British Broadcasting Service (NBBS), the Workers’ Challenge, and Radio Caledonia.

General note

"Black propaganda is a form of propaganda which is intended to create the impression that it was created by those it is supposed to discredit. Black propaganda contrasts with grey propaganda which does not identify its source, and white propaganda which does not disguise its origins at all." (Wikipedia)
