According to annotations, and some people in photograph are uncle Fritz Goetze, aunty Goetze, Louis Buhler, aunty Bean. Horse is named Lucy. Also in photograph are: John Edward Breithaupt in a cap seated on the stairs and looking at the camera, child behind him with white lace bonnet is likely Laurine Catherine Augustine, child behind her in the same lace bonnet is likely Grace Melvina Augustine, Carrie Breithaupt is seated on the porch at centre of group and looking at an infant on her lap. Other adults are possibly Albert Benjamin Augustine and Carrie Augustine.

Ashley Smith case.

Material accumulated by Andrew Telegdi during his tenure as a Member of Parliament related to Ashley Smith, a teenager who died on October 19, 2007 while incarcerated at the Grand Valley Institution for Women in Kitchener, Ontario. Records include an information sheet containing details about Ashely Smith’s case as well as a list of questions for Stockwell Day, then Member of Parliament and Minister of Public Safety, and Rob Nicholson, then Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. The questions focus on Ashley Smith and the conditions of her confinement and death as well as the Canadian prison system. Additionally, the file includes a report containing copies of news articles from media outlets across Canada related to Ashley Smith. It is not known how or why Andrew Telegdi acquired these records.

Artesian Well on Caroline St., Waterloo.

Image of Waterloo PUC and town officials at the tapping of an artesian well on Caroline St. in 1919. The group is seen standing on either side of the well, which is gushing with water. The well was capped in 1934; the accompanying news story also shows the gusher resulting from this same well being struck during construction of Waterloo Town Square in 1961.
