Photo caption from published June 7, 1972 version of 72-05-18_002: "MOBILE CLINIC. Lions' Club of District A-1 presented optometry clinic to School of Optometry May 31, following donations of close to $18,000 by 38 clubs in Western Ontario. Clinic was designed by Prof. M.E. Woodruff and includes eye examination equipment, office area which can double as sleeping quarters and cooking and washroom facilities. It will be used this summer to support School's program of eye examinations for inhabitants of Northern Ontario regions, a program supported by Ontario Department of Health and Welfare. It will also go to Saskatchewan this summer and in fall it will help bring vision care to children in Waterloo County area and elsewhere. Continuing education programs for optometrists can also be conducted better, through clinics."
