Photo caption from published version of 83-03-23_001: "Research computer here. A new IBM 4341 computer arrived at UW last week. It's part of the hardware coming to the university's Computer Systems Group as part of the CSG contract with IBM Canada Ltd.; CSG will use it to develop and try out software being written for networks of IBM Personal Computers and a central processor. Here computing services staff edge the machine into position in the Red Room of the Math and Computer building."
