General note
69-04-08_001 appeared on Page 4 of the Wednesday, April 23, 1969 (v.9, n.25) edition of the Gazette as part of the article: "Art committee chairman specifies needs."
General note
Photo caption from published version of 69-04-08_001: "ABOUT THAT WALL...Lynn Marlatt, Office Services staff member, figures something has to be done about the huge Arts III theatre wall, facing on to University Ave. Better refer the problem to the new Works of Art Committee, Lynn, that picture just won't do the job!"
General note
The reference to Lynn Marlatt as “mini skirt girl” in the file title is inappropriate. The use of the term in the file title has been maintained in keeping with Special Collections & Archives’ approach to language in archival descriptions, which prioritizes speaking openly about and clearly identifying problematic, harmful, and otherwise offensive records in the department’s holdings. This approach, while potentially upsetting, allows for the critical assessment and questioning of historical material by contemporary researchers.
