General note
Madame Ma, also known as Ma Shiu Yu, was an artist from Canton (Guangzhou) who studied at the Chinese Art Institute, Lia Jok Art School, and Lingen University. She worked in the Sung Yung dynasty style. She came to Canada in 1966 with her family.
