General note
Photo caption that accompanied published photos: "WOW, FREE ICE CREAM! - Every year, except during the war, Louis (Pop) Arnold has given "neighborhood kids" around his Shoemaker Ave. and Mill St. candy booth a treat at the end of the season. Sunday, youngsters lined up for an ice cream bear [see 47-507_001 for closest version]. First in line were three granddaughters shown with him [missing from envelope, no suitable substitute], Mary Ann, Carol and Patricia Ann Arnold."
