Photo caption from published March 22, 1968 version of 68-02-10_017: "FOOD PRODUCTION RESEARCH - Prof. M.M. Young is seen (left) with Derek Whitworth, Ph.D. candidate from England. Equipment seen is used in researching the engineering parameters governing production of protein from hydrocarbon oils using micro-organisms. The possibility of economic production of foods from petroleum is one of the most exciting areas of research being pursued by biochemical engineers today."
