Photo caption from published version of 79-0023-3-4_001: "March 1965: Dana Porter Arts Library was to be built in three stages, with the first three storeys expected to be enough until about 1970. But while construction was still going on, the decision was made to keep going four more storeys. The eighth, ninth and tenth weren't added for several more years. [The confusion about the building's final height led to persistent rumours that it was sinking because somebody had forgotten to allow for the weight of the books.]
