Margaret Schreiter was "Camp Mother" at Camp Tinawatawa on Paradise Lake near Waterloo, Ontario between 1952 and 1959.

[7] p. ms. text of talk presented by Margaret Schreiter at the Zion United Church re her experiences as "Camp Mother" at the Y.W.C.A.'s Camp Tinawatawa on Paradise Lake. In this talk she refers to the contribution of the Y.W.C.A. to the community of young people in Kitchener-Waterloo. She describes the facilities and equipment of the Y.W.C.A. camp, and she praises the staff of the camp for the work they did. She also describes the camp program and the activities it embraced. This included "Carnival Night", "Dress Up Night", the "Family Picnic", drama productions, sports, singing, and the Christian teachings which were "woven into each day".
