Press clippings from various publications primarily regarding Cameron Hill, fellow aircrew, and prisoners of war likely collected by Cameron's parents, Britton and Grace Hill, during the Second World War. Also includes one holiday greeting card from Bob Spence and two photographs. The first photograph features Cameron and fellow aircrew at their British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) Wings Parade on June 7, 1941 in Toronto, Ontario. The second photograph features Bob Spence and Jack Wood near El Alamein, Egypt in 1942.

The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) was a joint military aircrew training program created by the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand during the Second World War.
General note
Bob Spence and Jack Wood were part of the aircrew with Cameron Hill that crash landed on October 8, 1942 near Tobruk, Libya. Both men were separated from Cameron Hill and other crew members. The pair walked 500 miles in the North African Sahara before being rescued by a group of Bedouins and brought to a British position.
Cameron was captured as a prisoner of war by the Axis Powers three days after the crash on October 11, 1942. He was subsequently held in custody and sent to POW camps in Libya, Italy, Austria, Prussia, Poland, and Germany until May 1945.
