The woman at the front of the line is holding a sign that reads: "Down with the Men and Up with the Women". Verso indicates postcard, numbered 641, was printed in Great Britain.

Postcard with photograph of Flora Drummond standing, at right, with right arm in air. Other women and men on the boat are seen holding large signs that read "Votes for Women," "Hyde Park Sunday June 21," and "Cabinet Ministers Specially Invited". Caption at bottom of postcard reads: "Mrs. Dummond opposite the terrace of the House of Commons addressing M.P.'s, inviting them to the Hyde Park demonstration.'

The post card was published by Sandle Brothers, Empire House, Paternoster Row, London EC and identified as No. 103, Photo, Half Tones.

Loose postcards.

File consists of 212 loose postcards, including black and white and sepia-toned photographs, black and white and sepia-toned rotogravures, photochroms, and other colour prints. Postcards contain views of numerous European cities and landforms (including Binz, Potsdam, Oberammergau, Berlin, Wittenberg, Lucerne, the Rhine, and the Alps), as well as views along the Canadian Pacific Railway in British Columbia and Alberta (photographed by Byron Harmon) and the Columbia River Highway in Oregon (photographed by Cross & Dimmitt), and views of Banff, the Rocky Mountains, Stratford (Ontario), and other places and scenes. Some duplicates are present. Six postcards contain a stamp (four German, one Canadian, and one Czechoslovakian). Two postcards were sent through the mail; one from Keffer to his wife, and one from Max [last name illegible] to Keffer (in German). Six of the postcards were published by Valentine & Sons.

Three photographs of Norman C. Schnedier's trip to Berlin in 1934. Consists of one snapshot of Schneider on board a ship, one of him at the Keffer's piano in Berlin, and one of the Keffer family and guests, including Schneider, at their home in Berlin, Germany. File also includes one postcard of Norman C. Schneider taken in front of Köln Cathedral while on a visit to Ivan W. Keffer. On the verso is a note addressed to his mother and father dated Nov. 9, 1934.

Of special interest is a letter written by Eduard Höpken on May 29, 1965 revealing that he was a dedicated member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany since 1930. Eduard claimed that he reinstated his support for the political party after 1945. In this letter, Eduard wrote about the development of laws to provide the state increased control during emergencies. Also contains correspondence between the Sommer family and Friederich Joachim. Friederich Joachim adopted Ulrich Sommer as an adult and he lived in Germany. Records include letters, post cards, birth announcements, and a funeral invitation.

Ahrens, Henrietta Charlotte: birthplace in Germany.

Six photographs and one postcard from Anna Evers, Eschwege, Germany. One is a photograph of the birthplace of Henrietta Charlotte Roth, who married Charles Andrew Ahrens (2 copies). Her daughter Helena married J.M. Schneider. A postcard depicts the town of Eschwege and also included is an Evers family wedding photograph. Two snapshots of the Roth home show the plaque with the date 1835 and the name Carl Roth. Also included is a postcard of Reichensachsen, near Eschwege.
