One photograph of the Budds Department Store annual picnic, held August 20, 1947. The photograph shows 82 people, including men, women, and children. The picnic attendees appear to include the owners and employees of the three Budds Department Store locations, as well as their families. The photograph was taken outside in an undisclosed location and the subjects appear relaxed and informal.

Collection consists primarily of negatives taken by Charles Belair during the course of his professional career as a photographer. The images include those of local families, events and buildings in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. The collection includes some 21, 000 negatives as well as in some cases accompanying prints, transparencies, and contact sheets.

Collection includes photographs taken by Charles Dickens Creighton of Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, France and England all around the turn of the 20th century. These include primarily landscapes and architectural features. Also included are 11 Kelsh plotter aerials of Kitchener from the 1960's.

The majority of the archives of the Concordia Club were destroyed either as a result of the ransacking of the club by the 118th Batallion in 1916, or as a result of the fire of November 17, 1971. As a result the earliest records of Concordia have largely been lost forever. A very small number of items can be traced back to the Concordia Male Choir (1873-1914). These take the form of two items of correspondence, programs for the "Sängerfests", clippings, and photographs. A small number of archival records also can be found which belonged to the "Deutscher Club, Kitchener" (1925-1930), and include a set of house rules, letters patent, and photographs. Some records from the 1930s have also been preserved to this day, and include artifacts, clippings, legal documents, a membership list, photographs, and programs of events. However, the majority of the materials date from the 1950s onwards. These materials document the history of the Concordia Club since the 1950s, and include artifacts, audiovisual material, clippings, correspondence, ephemera, financial records, legal documents, membership records, minutes of meetings, photographs, publications, and scrapbooks.

File consists of one photograph of the employees of the head office of the Dominion Life Assurance Company in Waterloo, Ontario. The photograph was taken July 1939. The employees are standing in front of the building at 14 Erb Street West.

23 photographs from the wedding of Gordon Fraser and Olive A. Rennie, June 20, 1946 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Includes photographs of the church interior, as well as of the bridal party at the reception at the bride's home at 35 Fairview Ave., Kitchener. Also includes one mounted photograph of the wedding of George Biehn to Elva Capling, in which Gordon Fraser was best man.

More than 2 million negatives taken between 1938 and 2001 by staff photographers at the Kitchener-Waterloo Record (KWR) and its predecessors. Providing a historical look at the Region of Waterloo, the Collection includes documentary photographs of local news events, community activities, regional development, human-interest stories, businesses, schools, and sports teams. Portraits of business and community leaders, as well as commissioned photos taken for advertising purposes, are part of the Collection. It also includes scrapbooks containing clippings and pictures that appeared in the paper from 1971 to 1995.

William Daum Euler was also elected to the House of Commons of Canada (1917) and Nicholas Asmussen to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario (1919-1926). Both represented Waterloo North, Ontario in their Federal political office.

File consists of materials relating to the Rutherford family of Wellesley, Ontario. Includes a subscription list for building a church in Wellesley (dated 1856), a snapshot of Harriet Rutherford Hess and four mounted portraits of members of the Rutherford family. These are identified on the verso as William Rutherford, his wife Mary Jane Freeborn Rutherford, his mother-in-law Jane Freeborn Rutherford and a first wife Ellen Freeborn Rutherford.

The Sims family collection encompasses records of the Sims and Cook, Davidson and Garden families retained by members of the two family branches that came together when Harvey James Sims and Florence Katherine Roos married in 1902. Their Sims and Davidson forbears were equally significant in the history of the Waterloo-Wellington area and in the growth and development of agriculture, education, business and government. Harvey James Sims and Florence Katherine Roos were deeply involved in their local community of Berlin, (later Kitchener) Ontario and their own records contain significant additions to our knowledge of local personalities and affairs. Harvey was a childhood and lifelong friend of William Lyon Mackenzie King; they wrote and visited each other regularly. King's sister Bella was also a close friend of Florence from school days on.
