General note
Following the results of the votes cast in the 2008 Canadian federal election, a judicial recount was ordered in respect of the ballots cast in the electoral district of Kitchener-Waterloo. During the judicial recount two errors were found. The final validated count confirmed that Conservative candidate Peter Braid won the seat by 17 votes.
