A booklet titled, "IBM academic partners for higher education" published by Academic Information Systems (ACIS). In the booklet, Donald Cowan is listed as an IBM Consulting Scholar. A short biographical paragraph and picture of Donald Cowan is included in the booklet on page 7. According to the booklet, "IBM Consulting Scholars are practicing academic professionals whose affiliations are with education, engineering, English, physical sciences, medicine, and other disciplines...They are available to visit your campus. As independent consultants to ACIS they also provide important advice on directions that IBM and ACIS should take with respect to programs and product offerings." Also includes one pamphlet titled, "IBM Consulting Scholar Program," published by ACIS in 1990.
