General note
Based on material available in this accession, it appears that the Environmental Studies Library was likely located in Environmental Studies 1 (ES1). In addition, records indicate that the Environmental Studies Library officially developed into the University Map Library on May 1, 1978, at which point the University of Waterloo Library (as a campus unit) took control of the collections. At least initially, the collections were to be absorbed by the Arts or EMS libraries except for the maps. The maps were to be kept separate in the Arts Library in a space with dedicated staff.
