File consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence and memoranda with accompanying material relating mainly to the activities of Michael Vaughan as chair of the Committee on Land Use, Taxation, and Highways and then president of the MLA. Much of the material relates to the activities of the Land Use Committee and issues surrounding planning and development in the Muskoka region, and some material also relates to taxation, pollution, water safety, and other issues.
In addition to correspondence and memoranda, file includes reports, meeting minutes, newsletters, etc. Some letters were sent to him as carbon copies and some letters are photocopies. Includes an invitation from Ontario Lieutenant Governor John B. Aird, and letters from Ontario Premiers Frank Miller and David Peterson.
