Material created or accumulated by Andrew Telegdi during his post-political career related to citizenship and immigration issues including the denaturalization and deportation case against Helmut Oberlander, a suspected war criminal. Records include a newspaper article, notes, and a summary of reasons for judgment in the 2009 case between Helmut Oberlander and the Attorney General of Canada from the Federal Court of Appeal.
The file also contains a list of members of the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration in 2010, press releases from the Canadian Council of Refugees regarding proposed reforms to the refugee system and related legislation, and a copy of remarks made by Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration, and Multiculturalism, on reforms to the Canadian refugee system. In addition, the file includes related correspondence and a speech transcript prepared by Telegdi.
