General note
Photo caption from published version of 57-9732_001: "FESTIVAL FOLIAGE - Much can happen in the space of only a few weeks, as these whiskered men can show. Some of the 350 who have entered Waterloo's centennial beard-growing contest, show their beards (top) in the earlier stages, and again after four months (bottom). Only two lacked the courage to keep their beards and "X" marks their spot in the first photo. Shown in the bottom picture are (front, left to right) Harold Henshaw, Mel Boese, Robert Totzke, Harold Voisin, Howard Totzke; (centre) Louis Hilber, Louis Boudreau, Harvel Voll, Vernon Burkhart; (back) Gerald Such, James Lacey and Sherwood Farrow."
