Photo caption from published version of 45-170_001 and missing photos: "SCENE, VICTIMS OF BANK ROBBERY - Two young, well dressed bandits robbed the Canadian Bank of Commerce at Ayr, shown above [45-170_001], yesterday and escaped with $19,000 in cash and bonds after locking three customers and the bank staff of three in the vault. The three customers [photos missing from envelope, no suitable substitutes], Mrs. Robert Armstrong, left, Alex Edgar, centre, and Mrs. W. H. Shaw, right, had a narrow escape from death and suffocation while in the vault. Mr. Edgar is shown holding the knife which aided the six prisoners in getting out of the safe."
