Leather-bound scrapbook with mementos of the Kaufman family history. Scrapbook is organized into two sections. First section is titled “Grandmother Kaufman’s favourite poems from Helen, Bill, and Jean Xmas 1935” and includes poems either received by Mary Eidt Kaufman or copied by her grandchildren Helen Mary, William Hutton, and Sally Jean in her honour (some poems are written in German). Second section is titled “Clippings & poems Jean and Alvin” and includes correspondence, ephemera, postcards, poems, newspaper clippings, and an invitation to A. R. and Jean Kaufman wedding.

Golden wedding anniversary.

Materials related to the 50th wedding anniversary of A. R. and Jean Kaufman celebrated on August 12, 1961. Includes photographs of the couple printed on paper and a photograph of the couple with their three children, a printing plate for the invitations with a printed envelope, and a wedding anniversary guest book used to record guests and printed by Hutchings & Patrick Limited (Ottawa, Canada). On the second page of the guest book, there is a metal medal pasted that reads “50th / Kaufman’s ‘61’.”
