Three transcripts for speeches likely delivered by Andrew Telegdi during his appointment as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. The first transcript titled, Strengthening the value of Canadian Citizenship: A new Citizenship of Canada Act was prepared for Telegdi and presented to Lucienne Robillard, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. The second transcript titled, Launching the “Scattering of Seeds” III was presented by Telegdi at the Royal Ontario Museum during the launch of Scattering of Seeds, the third in a series of documentaries about immigration in Canada. The third transcript titled, Canada: A Land Where Many Cedars Grow was written in support of the Clarity Act. Telegdi intended to deliver the speech in the House of Commons but ultimately did not due to scheduling conflicts. Also includes a letter sent to Telegdi from Stéphane Dion, expressing gratitude for Telegdi’s speech in support of the Clarity Act.
