Fonds consists of records collected and created by Judy Godfrey in her role as a member of the Muskoka Acid Rain Petition Committee and as a citizen concerned about the issue of acid rain. Material relates to Godfrey's efforts to learn about and raise awareness of acid rain and generate support for the petition for action on acid rain among Muskoka-area associations and individuals, as well as her communication with government representatives about the issue. Includes correspondence between Godfrey and Ontario Premier William Davis.

File consists of material relating to toxic wastes and water pollution, and in particular the disposal of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Includes newspaper clippings; a report to an environmental assessment board regarding the burning of PCBs in Mississauga; a letter to Godfrey from Jim Bradley, Ontario Minister of the Environment; and a newsletter from the Liberal Caucus (Ontario) regarding pollution in Lake Simcoe.
