File consists of one hand-written agreement relating to the Louis Breithaupt's continuance of joint business after the death of Jacob Wagner dated May 17, 1858. The document is witnessed by Jacob Hailer and is signed by all parties and sealed. Includes a receipt, and statements of account.

File consists of two variants of a photo gallery produced by H.A. Huber, Photographer, Berlin, Ont. At the center is a bird's eye view of the town, with photos of buildings on all four sides. At the bottom centre of one is H.A. Huber's card; at the bottom centre of the other is a portrait of Louis Jacob Breithaupt with inscription on the verso: "Albert from Louis, March/89."

This collection, donated to the University of Waterloo in 1988 by the family of the late Rosa Breithaupt Hewetson Clark and Spencer Clark, includes family papers from three families, the Breithaupt family, the Hewetson family, and the Clark family; records from the Guild of All Arts in Scarborough, Ontario, founded by Rosa Breithaupt Hewetson Clark and Spencer Clark; and several smaller collections acquired by the Breithaupt family and by Spencer Clark. The personal library of Spencer Clark, which includes many books, periodicals, government documents, and ephemeral items, was donated together with the archival collections, and is particularly strong in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and Canadian art.

Includes a letter in English and German, a leaflet with a drawing of the Premier of Ontario (Hon. A. S. Hardy), and the envelope in which everything was enclosed.
Envelope is addressed to Conrad [Haerle?] Esquire, from Wellesley, Ontario.

Includes receipts for payments made from 1849 to 1856.

A variant of the first image was published in Murray W. Nicolson's Woodside and the Victorian family of John King. Ottawa: Parks Canada, 1984. Series consists of records related to Catharine Hailer Breithaupt including 91 pieces of correspondence received by Catharine Hailer Breithaupt between 1852-1863 and 1880-1910 and two diaries. The diary documents the first part of Catharine's first trip to Germany in 1888. The early correspondence provides further documentation of the establishment of Louis Breithaupt's tanning business in Berlin, Ontario; the later correspondence is primarily from her children, including her nephew Louis Henry Wagner.
