Standard mathematical tables.

Published copy of book C. R. C. Standard mathematical tables published by Chemical Rubber Publishing Company in 1957. According to annotations in book, it was used by Hanselman at Waterloo College and Associate Faculties (1958), University of Waterloo (1960), and the course Engineering 4-A (1961).

Slide rule.

Robert Hanselman's slide rule (model Polylog No. 930, created by Diwa of Denmark) and leather case. According to Hanselman, he used the slide rule in his first class (likely Physics) which could have been one of the University of Waterloo's first classes.

Materials used or accumulated by Robert "Bob" Hanselman during his time as a student at the University of Waterloo. Includes photographs of the University's first buildings, a slide rule, a book with mathematical tables used by Hanselman in his courses, two yearbooks, and Hanselman's briefcase.

Photographs.

Two photographs of the University of Waterloo's first buildings. One photograph shows the Waterloo Lutheran Seminary where the first engineering classes were held in 1957. Other photograph shows one of the University of Waterloo portables being moved to near the train tracks at the new campus in 1958.
Also contains a note by Hanselman identifying the photographs.
