General note
Photo caption that accompanied 51-2192_010 and photo missing from envelope: "AIRMAN'S FUNERAL - Two R.C.A.F. transport planes brought the body of Flt.-Lt. George Vrooman and a funeral cortege from Ottawa yesterday for burial in Woodland Cemetery. Flt.-Lt. Vrooman was killed when his plane crashed during an air show at Ottawa, Saturday. In top photo [missing from envelope, no suitable substitute], an air force sergeant looks at the coffin before removal was made from the plane. Family and friends are shown in the lower photo [51-2192_010] during the service at the cemetery. Vrooman's best friend, Bob Schmidt, Kitchener, is standing at right and his wife is in front of him. Vrooman's stepmother, Mrs. G.V. Vrooman, Detroit, is seated beside Mrs. Schmidt."
